I was never athletic when I was younger, I avoided exercise when I was a child but a few years after having my son and being unhappy with my body, I started running so I could loose my baby belly. But it did nothing for my body and I never really enjoyed it.
A few years later though I stepped foot in a gym and I’ve never looked back.
It hasn’t happened quickly that’s for sure and it’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication but my body has transformed through lifting weights and I no longer have a saggy belly that I’m ashamed of.
I started competing last year after falling into it by accident, although they say everything happens for a reason eh and I believe that’s true. Coming into this sport has taught my so much about myself and I feel so much more confident and happy in myself. I want to inspire other women to work hard on their bodies, believe they can achieve what they want and reap all of the other benefits that come from it! The external ones and the internal ❤️
